Massive Groove kick start March once again with their ever popular event CirCLE Party-pulling together a fine line-up for your eye & hearing pleasure. Expect the best in quality underground techno with some minimal Tech thrown in for good measure. An innovative night of music, cutting a cross-section through genre and style to explore the breadth of musics and their intrinsic similarities. Techno meets Tech, minimal meets Techno; in no particular order.

Federico Maccherone

Originally from Milan, Italy, Federico Maccherone - a record label founder and DJ moved to NY to work for Spike Lee and his advertising agency: Spike DDB. With a background in advertising he quickly found a niche creating campaigns and managing artists in the music industry. He was exposed to the music biz early on when as a teen he encouraged his friend Dodo Martino (co-owner of digital lovers records) to dj. It wasn’t until he discovered the NY techno scene where he finally found a place he could play and hang with like minded individuals with the same love of music. Federico finally had the chances to express himself through his music with a unique deep and groovy sound giving clear evidence of his love for what he does. He's now collaborating with Francesco Leali for a new project called Clockwork..

Cylo

A New York-based minimal/Tech DJ and producer with a driving beat and aggressively risky mixing technique in a town better known for its laid back style. He brings an enthusiastic stage presence to events throughout North America and Europe.

Talking about Cylo is talking about Massive Groove - Cylo is the mastermind behind Massive Groove, an organization based in UK, Berlin and New York where he currently resides.

"One of the most interesting lessons I have learned is that whoever is behind the decks in a club has total control over the moods of each person in the room. So how I then choose to play will, in turn, affect everybody else's mood. Quite a powerful responsibility, and one which must be treated with respect."

Stevens Eaves

From an early upbringing in southern New Hampshire and the noise and sounds that is the natural underlying beauty of New England, when Stephen Eaves was exposed for the first time to music, he fell for the sweetness of a deep bass line.

He could not resist the temptation of his new love and had to share his eclectic sense and attunement to what makes the ear, heart and soul move. From that point, eight years ago, he started playing.

Yes, playing! That is what music is to Stephen(although he takes his playing quite seriously!). He started playing out in Boston influenced by dj Craig Mitchell and with fellow music playmates dj’s Brienne, Jay Prouty and Will Monotone whom were vital in his education, exposure and evolution into whom he is now.
Stephen left Boston and relocated to NYC where he quickly immersed himself into the mechanics of the underground music movement. He is involved in playing and promoting his own parties as well as with various parties and events around the City - from his relationship to Matias Jofre of (s)InnerScene and his own GruvMuzik brand.
He now brings to the forefront his own odd genre of innovative music sets deriving from his early roots in progressive house beats which have lead him down the road to what is a deeper level of visionary techno. Just music. “Just Play”
