THE KRAYS When French-Electro godfathers YUKSEK + BRODINSKI joined forces, you know it can only mean great things, and this tag team will be sure to produce more than their fair share of party bangers and dance-floor fillers.
UFFIE Miami-born, Paris-dwelling fashion designer and socialite Anna-Catherine Hartley (a.k.a Uffie) has been described as a muse for French DJs – known for her own brand of underground-electronic with girlishly playful yet stiff performance and raunchy lyrics that have lead to collaborations alongside the likes of Feadz, Mr. Oizo and SebastiAn, as well as producer Mirwais and a recent nomination at the French Victoires De La Musique Awards for Best Electro Album.
JAMES YUILL With a passion for the emotional songwriting and atmospheric melodies of Nick Drake & Radiohead and the diverse, dynamic beats of Chemical Brothers and Aphex Twin, JAMES YUILL uses these two somewhat disparate genres to produce his own branding of visceral sound proving to be an influential part of the Folktronic genre currently sweeping through London.
HUORATRON After effectively using two Game Boy consoles to produce his own Experimental/Electro-House stylings, Aku Raski effectively maintains the tough sound and raw aesthetics he started with and has firmly made his place within the raw electronic dance music movement, alongside the likes of Daft Punk, Justice and Boys Noize.
SEXY SUSHI Rebeka Warrior and Mitch Silver make-up the French-Electro/Punk band known for the attitude they convey through their music combined with an experimental/punk vibe said to be somewhat reminiscent of the likes of Crystal Castles and Kap Bambino.
TIGER LOVE Reminiscent of early MGMT London electro-pop trio break onto the scene with high energy and ‘robot’ noises almost resembling a conversation between C3-P0 and a musical Autobot . Yes, please.
IS TROPICAL This London 3-piece have been described as sounding like The Strokes if they gave up hard-rock-Thin Lizzy and listened to ratatat/justice, and now the critically acclaimed Electronica band will grace the decks with the very best of the Electro/Indie scene.
YLHCSD Since Kitsune snapped up YLHCSD in 2008 they’ve toured Europe, featured on exclusive compilations alongside Little Boots, La Roux, The Chemical Brothers, Hot Chip and A-Trak and were also recently picked to appear in E4’s Skins.
ANXST It was a small town mundanity and endless sparse countryside which lead to ANXST’s genre transcending dexterity and takes in the experimental Dubstep trip of Vex’d, Industrial Techno of Surgeon, the future glitch of Flying Lotus and the scattered experimental drum and bass of Amon Tobin which results in the vast textured styling of this talented artist
PUNX SOUNDCHECK The partnership of John Taylor and Arif Salih brings together the music that shaped them and the music that’s shaping their future, traversing disco and house, reggae and dubstep, electro and (old) rave, all the while sounding effortlessly and elegantly modern.
CONCRETE DISCO After attending countless raves, festivals and parties brothers Joe Berditch & Dom Berditch along with Jonny Wharton were all in agreement about what the live dance music scene was missing and set out to infuse high-energy, inspirational live music with filthy breaks to create their own unique blend of mashed up floor fillers.
“Like Syntax with Thom Yorke's voice, but they've discovered a ten point dial marked 'EPIC' and they've somehow turned it up to eleven.” Eddie Temple-Morris
FAKE ROLEX Famed for his hedonistic dress-up parties, including the Zeitgeist hangouts ANTISOCIAL, and NUKE THEM ALL, Buster Bennett DJ's a mean set, mashing up vocal elements from the cutting edge of dance music and has played around the world, from warehouse raves in Berlin to Ex-Soviet Saunas in Moscow. 2010 will see his latest venture into music production, set to follow in the footsteps of his previous work with YR MUM YA DAD, WARBOY, CRAZY GIRL, and FRANKMUSIK.
PETE CARVELL With a sound that is close to impossible to pigeon-hole, he is renowned as a hotbed of both indie and electronic with DJ's sets that sit comfortably in the realms of forward thinking house and techno.
FISH DON’T DANCE For your delight and delectation PUNX SOUNDCHECK will be kicking up a storm as usual and will be shaping the night with traversing disco and house, reggae and dubstep, electro and rave, all the while sounding effortlessly and elegantly modern.
