Swerved is back with the most ambitious lineup yet!

With 6 Live acts and DJs playing everything from funk, ska, old skool hip hop and britcore and everything in between!

Swerved was started due to the lack of variety in club nights in and around London. Our ethos is to always host a unique event that showcases distinctive and contrasting styles of music played by an amazing variety of live acts and DJs – and we don’t follow traditional trends.

Previous events in Shoreditch have had a different feel in each room with an aim to provide a positive, exciting and creative environment where partygoers and artists feel inspired. Special guests have included Nathan FluteBox Lee (featured on Prodigy’s albums), The Correspondents, Magic Tombolinos, Pest and United Vibrations to name a few.

With a varied line up the electrifying party atmosphere at Swerved motivates acts to keep their music stimulating and encourage party goers to have fun so they’ll want to keep coming back!

The Criminal Minds - Hailing as the ambassadors of the britcore scene Live Kickass UK hip hop at its best. One of the leading UK Hardcore hip hop groups, bringing an original style to the industry for more than 2 decades. Rugged, raw, rapid and ruthless, like a UK Public Enemy perhaps, TCM rank alongside legends of Britcore hip hop such as Hijack, the Demon Boyz and Silvah Bullet.

David Goo Extravaganzaru!! (www.davidgoo.com) - After hitting the scene with ‘Keep On Wishing’ and the song being picked up for a major TV advert, these guys are perfect to put any dance floor in a great mood! Six Piece manic fun - imagine the intensity of System of a Down doing Madness songs, with lyrics by Flight of the Conchords... if you catch them! These guys will be returning to SWERVED after their last successful gig at East Village.

United Vibrations (12Tone) - This band has appeared on the Jools Hollands show, caused mayhem at The Roundhouse and appears to be on the forefront of every magazine and reviewer. They’re set to go far so make sure you don’t miss them! Four piece London collective, a tour de force of different musical styles (punk, African, aboriginal, moody rock à la Radiohead) rooted under a jazz umbrella…

The band produce a hypnotic unique melange of sound; there is the rootsical draw of ska guided by the trombone; the tribal chants of West Africa; rhythm of aboriginal music; celestial lyricism of Sun Ra; and importantly some expert blending of rock and jazz. Debut album, “Galaxies Not Ghettos”, released on CD/Vinyl 25th March 2011.

Savage Rehab (V Recordings) - Full spectrum, high energy, bass-heavy Drum n Bass. They're making waves with their latest release, Walk The Bass / One Shot, on V Recordings and releases on both Liquid V and Chronic. Their First release, Walk The Bass / One Shot, out now on the main V label.

Real Fur (Safari Funk) - www.myspace.com/wearrealfur
East-End band Real Fur have been redefining the conventional gig venue by hosting parties in everyday establishments such as laundrettes and closed-down Post Offices.
Along with Real Fur’s performance, these ‘Safari Funk’ events present the work of artists, film-makers, and other musicians. The first Safari Funk tour of the UK is booked for May 2011.

North of Ping Pong (www.myspace.com/northofpingpong) The Swerved favourites and winners of the people’s music awards return debuting tracks off their upcoming album "don't Struggle." They have to be seen live to be believed. Pure party music, that will make you cry with laughter while you dance your leg off. Masters of their art and seasoned actors who you'll recognise from many films and TV shows they really are not to be missed!

Bobby Corridor (Swerved) - Taking us back to uk hip hop in the late 80s and giving us a funk splattered, body poppin’ tour up to the 90s.

DJs Dexorcist (Battle Trax), Kriminal Mixes (Large Salad Discoteque), Jerome Hill (Swerved/Fat Hop) and Lusinda (Swerved/Gruff).
