From April 2011 on, the Dope Crackers Tour unites two of the most innovative swiss electronic producers: Bit-Tuner and Feldermelder. They’re accompanied by DJ Nik! and the VJ-collective .suffix.
It’s about bass, it’s about beats and hybrids, it’s about the movies in the heads of the dancing crowd. And, it’s about the celebration of two promising releases of the new year.

BIT-TUNER:
"bit-tuner is the master of booming basswalls and sweeping noises" - 20minuten

His album “Low-Speed Detonation” on Trepok Rec. brought to the point, what could be observed in his many live-sets for a long time coming: a richness of bass-driven and heavy-weight tracks, in which crackling sounds let themselves be chased by creaky acid-lines and viperfish synthesizers. In April 2011, the follow-up EP “Drome”, which is currently being produced in New York, will be released on Trepok.

FELDERMELDER:
He creates music that was once aptly described as „the lost art of keeping a secret“ - Spezialmaterial

Equipped with analogue synthesizers and controlled digital equipment, Feldermelder creates ever evolving sound universes in which rhythm, simplicity and complexity interlock elastically.
With his album “The Echo Circus” on Spezialmaterial, Feldermelder makes clear what he means by this: athmospheric, deconstructed tracks mutate into stomping beat-tracks. Next spring, Everest Records will release Feldermelder’s new album “Henriks Fishing Catapult”.

NIK!:
„dinky darkness & twisted sunshine“ - Hula Honeys

The support is coming from the Zurich-based DJ Nik! As one half of the DJ-tag-team The Dean Soniks, as promoter of events like Evil Rave or Trennfrequenz, as a third of the Mini-Label Hula Honeys or as solo-DJ: his activities are always about the connections between related music and styles, about music in the stress field of tradition and innovation, about heavy basslines and hymns. With releases on Hula Honeys and Quiet Records he makes this spectrum visible: dub influenced Hip-Hop tracks here, Elvis inspired Electronica Dance tracks there.

.SUFFIX

The 5 members of the Lucerne-based creative collective .suffix put special attention into an accurate visual implementation of the music and aesthetics that complete the event and the location. Their goal is always to let the images and the music fuse to an entity, working with images ranging from stop-motion film to complex 3D-animation graphics.
