Lost My Dog Album Launch Party with Harold Heath + Alta Residents

Saturday 2nd April 2011 | 9pm til 3am | Riki Tik, Bond St. Brighton

Saturdays are changing at Riki Tik.

Now under new management, Riki Tik is fast becoming a cutting edge electronic music venue, with Saturday nights leading the charge.

Offering a genuine alternative to Brighton's many other late bars and clubs, Riki Tik's Saturday nights promise to be consistently music- led and trend- free, with guest sets from heavyweight DJs, producers and labels.

Our resident DJs have access to pre-release material from many of the finest electronic labels on the planet and play regularly across Europe, so you can expect to hear the latest sounds and future classics here first. Not interested in following the herd, you can expect our sessions to transport you all over the Globe in search of the finest, warmest, most soulful cuts of electronic music known to man.

To kick off our new weekly session, on Saturday April 2nd we are partying with local house producer Harold Heath, in honour of his brand new 'Family Affair' LP on the excellent Lost My Dog label.

Already gaining support from the likes of Mark Farina, Luke Solomon and Nick Holder, the LP has also won high praise from DJ Mag: “If there was ever a case to be made for Harold Heath as house music’s most unsung hero, this collection is the proof required...Once again, Lost My Dog has taken the lead.”

Album Press Release:

‘Family Affair’ is a new series of full-length projects from Lost My Dog Records which shine a spotlight on the artists that have shaped the sound of the label. Up first is UK deep/tech house stalwart Harold Heath who presents a 13 track mix containing six original songs and five remixes previously released on Lost My Dog, alongside two brand new productions in ‘Antirobotics’ and ‘Daydreaming’.

Harold Heath’s first outing on Lost My Dog was in 2006 after he contacted the label asking to remix Adam B’s ‘Smoketoke’. As long-time fans of Harold’s music, it was a no brainer to take him up on the opportunity and launched a relationship which has seen the Brighton based DJ and producer release three EPs and six remixes for the careless canine owners. Supporters of Harold’s music on Lost My Dog have been wide ranging, including Tony Humphries, CJ Mackintosh, Mark Farina, Roger Sanchez and even Fedde Le Grand, who included ‘Streets Keep Rocking’ on his Ministry of Sound Sessions mix CD.

Harold Heath’s illustrious career began around the turn of the century and has earned him a reputation as one of the most consistent yet unsung heroes in UK house music. Aside form Lost My Dog his discography includes some of the worlds most respected underground labels including Detour, Plastic City, Stickman, Uhuru Beats, Oblong, Sensei and Urban Torque. It was for Urban Torque that he recorded his debut album ‘Hole Funk’.
