Following the success of last year's inaugural Chicago tour stop, AVANT MUTEK returns to Chicago with an expanded slate of events previewing the seminal festival of advanced music and digital creativity. Day two's evening event features the return of one of last years featured artists STEPHEN BEAUPRÉ, this time performing a live set in a headlining capacity. The evening will also showcase the talents of Chicago mainstay's FRANKIE VEGA and SEVRON who will be performing a mutimedia dj set for the first time at Avant Mutek Chicago. All this will be happening in one of Chicago's newest and most unique spaces, the VOLCANO ROOM at the Bottom Lounge.

MUTEK is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the dissemination and development of digital creativity in sound, music, and audio-visual art. Its mandate is to provide a platform for the most original and visionary artists currently working in their fields, with the intent of providing an outlet of initiation and discovery for its audiences.

MUTEK's 12th edition takes place June 1 - 5, 2011 in Montreal, and will regroup over 100 artists from 15 different countries for 5 days of indoor and outdoor concerts, special events, daytime conferences and more.
