Louche & System Easter Sunday with Cassy & Dyed Soundorom photo gallery
Back for a second season of summer parties, Louche and System bring you the first installment of their special bank holiday get-togethers. This Easter Sunday we welcome Cassy and Dyed Soundorom to Mint Club. Possibly two of the most in form DJ's on the planet right now...
When it comes to DJ sets, Cassy doesn't subscribe to a certain genre, but instead plays right across the board, from house to smooth deep techno. Her much admired approach to any dancefloor is about creating a distinctive drive, balanced with a sense of warmth and soul. Panorama Bar, Rex Club and Trouw, all witness her style regularly, Cassy now holding residencies at all three of the premier European venues. An internationally recognized DJ and producer. Her production credits include collaborations with Steve Bug, Ricardo Villalobos and Mathew Jonson, and she has a diverse body of work on such highly-regarded labels as Playhouse, Perlon and Cocoon. In addition to her work as a producer, Cassy provides vocals for many of her tracks, her soulful vocals washing over her tracks to lovely effect.
Charming Frenchman Dyed Soundorom loved his last visit to Leeds almost as much as we loved seeing him, and it'll be great to have him back. The Spectral Sound, Freak n’Chic and Crosstown Rebels artist has become a major player on the global house scene since he first broke onto the scene in 1999. As a DJ he brings a mix of style and enthusiasm to every gig; oozing cool but never taking himself too seriously. Keep the party rocking is his only aim, and it is perhaps this laid back and refreshing attitude that has lead him to play at the biggest parties the world over, most notably his residency at DC-10 for Ibiza's weekly Circoloco parties.
Last years System and Louche joint shindigs were a huge success, from the sun-splashed day parties at Nation of Shopkeepers to the bustling nights at Mint Club, lots of you came down to party with us. This Easter Sunday is 2011's first in the series of exiting collaborations between the two nights, expect some very big things planned over the warmer months! ;)
