The mysterious two-man sound machine behind Stripper are no strangers to the production world, having carved a reputation for constantly evolving their sound beyond the confines of their genre, and never resorting to musical clichés. Drawing on a hefty knowledge of classic German techno, Detroit electro, UK Acid, NY House and Belgian NuBeat, Stripper is as much about mining these influences as it is to current trends and state of the art studio techniques. Recent releases have been on Ministry of Sound, Giant Pussy Records and 4D Audio.
John Monkman’s CV seems impossibly varied for a man still in his twenties. As a programmer, John has provided electronic input, mixing and production for a number of artists including Roxy Music's Bryan Ferry and has worked alongside members of Radiohead, Chic, Pink Floyd and more for Ferry’s collaboration with Groove Armada.
Atomic Drop (AD) is the combined creative force of James Anthony, Ken Barrett and Cameron Leonard-Schroff. This year they have releases out on Plasmapool, Bazooka, Surfer Rosa and LOT49, and have been working with vocalists including Leftfield’s Cheshire Cat and Pendulum’s SirReal.
