FUCK ME WHAT A PARTY THAT WAS IN THE HORSE & GROOM, A BIG MASSIVE THANKS TO EVERYONE THAT CAME DOWN. FOR OUT NEXT BEATDOWN WE HEAD BACK TO DALSTON'S FAVOURITE BASEMENT, THE NEST.
THIS MONTH WE HAVE DELUSION'S OF GRANDEUR'S NORM DE PLUME HEADLINING.....
Norm has been working in the industry and playing Deep/Disco House in London since the turn of the millennium. He cites his biggest influences as Ron Hardy, Studio 45 and Sound Stre...am. He currently works for Delusions Of Grandeur and hosts their monthly podcast. In 2010 he launched his own edits imprint "Plumage".
In November 2010 his 1st 12” dropped on Plumage receiving support from: DJ Harri, The Revenge, Tornado Wallace, Mic Newman, The Dead Rose Music Company and Cottam (amongst many others). This was closely followed by a superb remix of Tornado Wallace's "Alway's Twirling" for Delusions Of Grandeur.
His forthcoming “Groove Grocer EP” on the excellent (vinyl only) Kolour Limited series is expected in May 2011.
In addition to his studio productions Norm also throws his own semi-regular party: “Wayward” is a deep-disco-beat-down who’s guests have included Matt Masters, Zoo Look, The Dead Rose Music Company & Deep Space Orchestra.
Much like the music that can be heard on his podcast, in a live situation Norm brings together slo-mo disco edits & deep mid-tempo house vibes through to pacier, more electronic underground house. Expect plenty of original disco 12" & edits along the way from the classic to the obscure and of course some up-front , pre-release DOG nuggets!
