BANANA Presents - MELÉ (Grizzly)
Saturday 2nd April @ Joshua Brooks
Adv. £2 tickets available on Skiddle (Only 17/50 left)
Some young people are just ridiculously talented. At only 9 months old the Olsen Twins were gracing our screens in Full House. Justin Bieber was only 14 years old when Usher got his mitts on him and carved him into the child demon whos voice refuses to break. And Melé will be just 18 when he joins the crew at Banana.
Having been signed to Sindens own label Grizzly, Melé is definitely one for the future.
Having gained recognition and support from the likes of Radio 1s own Annie Mac, Toddla T, L-Vis 1990, Brodinski, Mumdance and the Mad Decent crew, he fuses a mixture of dancehall, to minimal, afrobeat, house and grime that makes an incomparable, fast paced and heavy live set, complete with airhorns aplenty (good airhorns, not shitty Tim Westwood airhorns). However, its Melés creativity and the inventiveness in his productions that sets him apart from everybody else.
Already tipped as one of the producers to watch in 2011 by Fact Magazine, Melé will be gracing the basement of Joshua Brooks for a night that will make Gaddafi look sane.
As always, accompanying the main dish of Melé will be our Banana side orders:
