Not content to remain the vanity label it began as, New York's Throne of Blood has grown beyond its roots as the source for 12"s by The Rapture to embrace a polyglot sensibility encompassing house, techno, electropop and all manner of synthesizer freakiness. Building slowly over the past few years, Throne of Blood has emerged over the past years as one of the most consistent and exciting labels in the US. Releasing music from relative newcomers like Populette, Bicep, and Cosmic Kids as well as established veterans John Selway, Ulysses, Mugwump and Paul Woolford, Throne of Blood is a label, a studio, and a gang of friends from across the US and Europe dedicated to releasing great records without compromise.
