Now that spring has well and truly sprung we are excited to herald the longer days and warmer months this coming Easter weekend with the finest blend of funk, electro, house and techno that you’re likely to come across this side of the royal wedding.
Stepping out from the shadow of Jesus’ re-awakening we aim to bring you the most blinding night of the bank holiday, headed by some seriously talented 4/4 specialists.
Our joy is making you move, and when that responsibility is placed in the more than capable hands of the inter-dimensional force that is Datassette, there can be no assurance of pain free feet come the next morning. Carrying the full weight of the underground this producer is high on the hit list of those in the know, his debut album is a classic, “Datassette” on Ai, recognised for its gleaming freshness and absorbing sounds.
Famed also for his businessfunk mix series, the latest of which dropped just days ago, John Davis (Datassette) shows his great strengths as a record selector and innovator. Plainly put, this chance to see his free flowing, unfaltering style is definitely not to be missed.
Further jack movements will undoubtedly be garnered from our next guest, the diverse and multi faceted Capracara. From his epic “King of Witches” – DFA, to his lurid acid house trip “Opal Rush” – Soul Jazz and his John Carpenter-esque “Panic Beats” – Fine Art, Capracara brings a smooth blend of bass and rhythmic intensity to all that he pens. No doubt, the floor will be laid to waste after this one.
This talented duo will be supported in their duties by the sonically stacked and always well presented WBH residents.
