Following the recent devastation that has taken place in Japan, we wanted to help out and support the cause where possible.
On Saturday May 7th, 44 presents a special event to generate funds for the amazing work that is being carried out by the British Red Cross in Japan.
Topping the bill we welcome legendary electronic producer, A Guy Called Gerald.
As a founding member of 808 State, A Guy Called Gerald is credited as one of the originators of house music. His classic track 'Voodoo Ray' sounds as unique and exciting today as it did when released in 1988. Gerald's musical experiments also lay the groundwork for Jungle with his album released in 1992 being rated a template for what was to come. He continues to be a driving force in electronic and went on to release his 9th artist album last year. It's with great pleasure that we welcome A Guy Called Gerald to be part of this special event on May 7th.
The full line up for May 7th is still coming together and will be announced in the coming days.
Advance tickets are priced at £7 advance and are available online now via Skiddle. http://www.skiddle.com/events/11455552
All proceeds from this show will go direct to the British Red Cross who are carrying out invaluable work in Japan.
