Sidwho? (Empire of the Sun, Modular); Saturday April 9th

This summer is not going to be a mellow kind of holiday, what with the Victorian police seizing 8000 odd cannabis plants and all. So with it looking like the season for the groove not the couch we’ve invited a pretty special younger producer and musician to grace our battered up old organ here at Guerns. His name’s Sidwho, and if you can believe it not only does he make a ruckus as a touring member for Empire of the Sun, but he’s a founding member of Modular signed live disco upstarts The Swiss and now is coming into his own right as a true next crop producer. His plate is full, travelling the world like Caine in Kung Fu whether playing to 100,000 crazy Brazilians one night with Luke Steele or slogging it out in Europe with his The Swiss band mates. On Sat 9th April we have him playing here at Guerns, just as he’s gaining attention as a signee to Future Classic Records with tracks like “Millionaire” getting peoples swerve on. With some planned releases with the likes of Prins Thomas and Woolfy it’s going to be a big upcoming year for this dude so we’re pretty stoked to have him play. Gonna be some pretty cool music.
