G.I. DISCO are the Berlin-based DJs and music-activists Kalle Kuts &
Daniel W. Best. They are on a mission to bring back that Soul-, Funk-, RnB-,
Pop- and Dance sound that they first heard in the 80s on AFN radio and
the clubs of the US-Army troops in West-Germany. A music that still
has a strong influence on today´s pop- and dance music.
Their G.I.DISCO events and DJ-sets have become an open secret and pull
not only a regular Berlin crowd, but also celebrities such as the R&B superstar
Kelly Rowland, the US Rappers of Camp Lo and also the Berlin based
DJ-jetset. In fall their first CD compilation is due to be released on
the world renowned English label BBE Records, for which artist like Paul Weller
and Dimitri from Paris just recently compiled masterful releases.
