After the shenanigans of our 5th birthday on the 11th of May, everyone here at SWAMP towers would firstly like to say a big thank you to everyone involved. In no particular order: The Organ Donors, Latex Zebra, Timmy Whiz, Darren B, all the residents and most importantly, everyone who came to the 414 to help us celebrate turning 5.
Unfortunately it can only be our birthday one month of the year (the Queen doesn’t know how lucky she is having two!) which makes the June instalment a very special birthday aftermath. And to mark such an occasion, we are making this party a one off, by making it only £5 on the door before midnight if you are on the guest list. That’s half the usual entry price of £10! Email names to email@example.com to reserve your place now!!!
But that’s not even half of the story. Recently we heard the sad news that Zoology resident and Club 414 legend Red Cat is going to be emigrating across the pond to America with his Mrs, Pink Kitty (no I am serious, this isn’t made up and I am not stoned whilst writing this!). So we thought, what better way to send off an old friend than by throwing a farewell party? Answers on a postcard to the usual address please if you think you know of a better way.
For those that don’t know Red Cat, he’s been a Zoology resident DJ since they started (Zoology will be 6 this year). During this time he has played for just about everyone worth mentioning in the London scene, and has supported us here at SWAMP since day one.
We had planned a residents party for June, but we just couldn’t say no to his last request to rock SWAMP for one last time (how can you say no to a man with a goatee as good as his?). I’d love to be able to tell you what to expect from him, but as it is his leaving party, even if I knew, I would want to keep it as a surprise.
Supporting Red Cat for this will be SWAMP residents Phil Lankester, Matt Church, Dean Zone, Littleman and DJ SP.
And as usual, if at 6am you’re still wanting more, the Paradoxx crew will be on hand for all your after party needs, taking you right the way through to 1pm on Saturday afternoon, with residents Darren B, Jon Fornow and Warren C plus guests.
