From the 13th to the 17th of April elita festival drifts among contemporary urban estethics as usual.
The human being, having to deal with a future to rewrite under new rules (decreasing natural resources, dissolving geographical borders, the Web egemony), has the possibility to live outside last century’s massified social schemes.
The ‘no-limits’ characterization of the single individual (up until now a trait of a restricted ‘bohemien’ elite) translates into increasing forms of human interactions as never seen before. This is all happening in the always more crowded metropolitan surroundings.
Inside the cities we restore spaces for nature, we leave behind daily habits, we modify consumptions and a new “wild in the city” lifestyle makes its way.
The main players and contents of the now traditional sixth edition of the ‘after-fair’ of the Milanese design week are all witnesses of the change in the making.
In 2011 the festival will be held under its usual double format: the prestigious headquarter at Teatro Franco Parenti, based in one of Milan’s highest density creativity area, and in the various venues that form the City Network: CODICE A BARRE, MAGAZZINI GENERALI, MAGNOLIA, PEEP SHOW/QUEEN, KILLER PLASTIC, LIVE CLUB, ROCKET, ROCK’N’ROLL, SAN VITTORE, TUNNEL.
This year’s headquarter will see an even richer contents’ side thanks to the decors of Duilio Forte (one the most talked about characters in naturalist architecture and contemporary design), the art studio, the brand new wellness area and the daily meetings with the Food Parade chefs, whereas the night events will spread thanks to the adding of the Saturday night WILD PARTY which looks like the biggest music event of the design week.
