RE:SET RESIDENT DJ D-LUX SPINS WITH GUEST SANTIAGO CABALLERO ON JUNE 8TH.
Presenting D-Lux in her first appearance as a RE:SET resident!! Opening the night will be Boston's own, Santiago Caballero.
Laura DeLuca "D-Lux” has been entertaining dance floors large and small since jumping on the decks in 2005. Since then, she's become a staple in the Boston underground house scene, serving as a resident DJ of Re:Set (Boston's most widel...y-known underground house and techno weekly); a frequest guest DJ at RISE, the city's only legal after-hours nightclub and Red Door in Portsmouth, NH.
As a DJ who strives to continually refine her sound, D-Lux's unforgettable and profoundly unique style is described by most as deep and drummy house, tastefully and seamlessly blended with funky techno; with that distinct feminine touch that sets her apart from the crowd.
D-Lux carefully orchestrates her sets to take listeners to special, unexpected places - a strategy that has resulted in a growing worldwide fan base and a reputation as a talented, versatile DJ. D-Lux is rapidly becoming a recognizable face in the Boston dance scene and beyond.

Bio:
Born in Miami and raised by the South Beach nightlife, house music was always in Santiago Caballero's life, but it wasn't until his brother made him a compilation CD featuring a variety of house, techno, and trance, that he truly fell in love with it. After listening to house music for a few years, he saw Carl Cox at the Ultra Music Festival in Miami. It was a revelation, and the very next day he borrowed his friends turntables and never looked back. After years of playing gigs, he has now played in some of the biggest clubs around the world in Miami, New York, Cartagena, Bogota, and Boston, his current home. He has also played the notorious Technique parties hosted by Pirate Stereo as well as the Winter Music Conference in Miami. With multiple appearances lined up for the Winter Music Conference in 2010, and new tracks and mixes constantly in the works, look out for him and his infectious grooves in the new year.
Influences:
If its electronic, its an influence, if its not, it still probably is. With a massively varied music background, Santiago Caballero produces and DJ's almost any kind of electronic music bringing into play influences as varied as latin, rock, metal, pop, hip-hop, jazz, etc. In the end, it is all about that funk, and that groove. More specific electronic influences: Solomun, Dubfire, Martin Eyerer, Ian Carey, Richie Hawtin, Reboot, Ricardo Villalobos, Paul Kalkbrenner, Wighnomy Brothers, Nick Curly, Gabriel Ananda, Depeche Mode, Daft Punk, Justice, Booka Shade, M.A.N.D.Y., Carl Cox, , etc .
Sounds Like:
Funky, Groovy House music with minimal, techno, and latin influences.
