expect lots of secret guest appearances from label artists and friends.
Headrush are celebrating two storming years at the helm of underground house and techno in Bristol by bringing dutch legend of all things deep and hypnotic to Timbuk2 for a long overdue debut performance – Newworldaquarium.
Both as a staple member of the Delsin imprint and transmitting for Carl Craig’s Planet E records, Jochem Peteri’s productions under the aliases of Ross 154 and Newworldaquarium can be traced back as early as 1993. By controlling his output and perfecting a mysterious breed of swirling, immersive house grooves over the years, Peteri’s sounds have seen him plumb new depths for the world’s most renowned clubs, including the Bunker in New York and Berlin’s Panoramabar. As if this wasn't enough of an achievement, when Fact Magazine declared ‘Trespassers’ as ‘arguably the single greatest techno track of the 2000s’, Peteri’s position amidst the genre’s most revered figureheads was finally consolidated.
For this special occasion we have Bristol’s hottest new young techno label Schmorgasbord behind the reigns in room 2. After debuting with a collaborative belter earlier this year between Appleblim and October, expect to hear some heavy hitters from label head Ollie Warwick as well as some secret appearances from some very special guests.
With Headrush residents and longstanding favourites / UFO heads the Kelly Twins flexing their finest party records for the occasion, this is the one birthday celebration you’d be silly to miss.
Party hats at the ready. HAPPY BIRTHDAY HEADRUSH!!
