They're saying Shoreditch just isn't what it used to be. What it used to be wasn't what it once was. Well, we dont know about that, we don't know about then; we know about now!
Word has it that things are moving further out east, with the best parties happening in the more intimate places. Like 'A10' everyones favourite little Russian Bar just a few minutes from Old Street along the Kingsland Road. Its not new or untapped territory; its been the cornerstone for many a late night drink or rump-shake for quite some time, with crowds growing by the week!
One of the venues' heavyweight monthly nights, the quietly confident '3partSand' is looking good, moisturising daily and showing zero signs of aging. Set up in January (officially) this year by Ash Seaborne and Jon Hughes, the parties have thrived on unearthing and showcasing the 'up and comings' of the techno, tech-house, rave-house, semi-detached house, blah blah blah scene.
This month is a bit of milestone for 3partSand, as we bear the fruit of our new-found, cross-channel international relations programme by presenting for the first time in the UK, Parisian minimal techno / country performing madmen ANTISLASH!
Signed to the hugley popular and uber-cool Circus Company imprint, they've enjoyed success with releases such as "Sheeps Nightmares" and "Format C". Pit Spector, Charlie Notfonk and the grotesque 'John Merrick' (wink wink) make up the trio who also run their own monthly shindig, 'Frischfleisch' at Tryptique in Paris. With Antislash onboard 3partSand is set to be better than ever. To quote their biogography these boys are;
'...characterized by an unforgettable live-set, between improvisation and band-like synchronization, they successfully mix their skills to control computers and machines to their own musical madness and love of the groove...'
A first for 3partSand, a first for A10 (Russian Bar) and a first for Antislash here in the UK, looks like your Friday is booked up on the 15th of June!
