We’re back!

Spring is here and we are finally ready to BRATE in proper Sheik 'n' Beik style. On Friday May 20th, we will be hosting a party at New York Lower East Side’s Tammany Hall, home to one of NY’s best sound systems.

Joining us will be 3 very special guests. Timid Boy from Paris and Andre Buljat from Barcelona, as well as a special live/dj set from piano wünderkid, Nikko Gibler (SnB/Leftroom/PFL).

Timid Boy was discovered in 2003 as BPitch Control's resident at the Rex. He has ever since come a long way to become a prolific and respected music producer. His records are played by the most influential DJ’s in the scene, notably “Londres” being one of Marco Carola’s favourites. He is also the label head of Time Has Changed with records played by Richie Hawtin, Laurent Garnier, Raresh, Loco Dice and far too many more to list. Apart from producing and mixing, Timid Boy is a also a very well known French musical journalist and specialist in electronic music. For over 10 years, he has worked for famous magazines such as Rock & Folk, Technikart and Trax (the leader of electronic French press). More recently, Mixmag had an article on him.

If you’ve ever been to Sonar or Boulevard Culture Club in Barcelona, you’ll probably have heard of Andre Buljat. Born in Bonn Germany and raised in the Dominican Republic, this major figure in the Barcelona dance community already boasts releases on Mirus’s Indigo Raw and his own label 4line Records. Andre is also responsible for booking parties at BCC during Sonar week as well as being a resident there and hosting the weekly party in BCC’s small room, The Box. Andre is also a member of the high profile booking agency, Common People.

Completing the main room line up will be non-other’s than residents Fong & Julio doing what they do best; as they warm up the bodies and souls of all-those who are lucky & smart enough to arrive early that night.

The downstairs room will feature Sheik 'n' Beik veteran trio Jeffrey Scott, Xander and Varick preparing a deliciously pickled tag team set as well as the return of LA-based Nikko Gibler, with his meticulously crafted, piano infused live/dj set.

If you are not yet familiar with Nikko Gibler, he recently released his first solo bomb "Say You Care" on Matt Tolfrey's "Left'd". His remix of Shadi Megallaa's "You Ain't Dancing" will also be released on Leftroom in the following months. You might remember him as one-half of The Royal Dance Project, who headlined the very first SnB anniversary at Le Royale. He has since evolved monumentally and has to-this-day collaborated in the studio with industry monsters such as Lee Curtiss, Damian Lazarus, Lazaro Casanova, Maher Daniel, Matt Tolfrey, Guy Gerber and Alex Nazar to name a few.

Note that SNB’s resident VJ James Barnes of Waking Dream will be enchanting us all night with his tripped out tricks.
