Equally accomplished as a DJ, producer and composer, Francis Harris has emerged as one of North America's premiere underground electronic music talents. His discography counts over 40 EPs and remixes for respected labels like Poker Flat, Mule, Simple, Nummer, Clink and his own boutique imprint Ransom Note. Dark yet moving, his introspective solo excursions as Adultnap- per continually challenge convention, earning him a loyal following amongst elite tastemakers in the global dance music underground.
When teamed with Mr. C of The Shamen as Sycophant Slags, the mischievous streak behind the foreboding Adultnapper persona is revealed. The duo have released a string of punchy dance anthems, including the recent Poker Flat hit single and video "Keep Off" and a forthcoming EP for Get Physi-cal. The next wave of Adultnapper releases originate in a recent spate of new studio collaborations. They include EPs for Culprit and Simple featuring vocalist Big Bully, an EP co-produced with M.A.N.D.Y. and the Ransom Note release of "No Cliché," the first offering from a new indie dance act formed with Beirut band member Jason Poranski (vocals) and No Regular Play's Greg Paulus (trumpet).
As a member of the prestigious AM Only and GEIST Agency rosters, Adultnapper balances his studio work with a rigorous year round tour schedule, making regular stops at renowned venues and festivals throughout North America, Latin America and Europe.
In 2007, seeking a platform on which to further develop the Adultnapper persona, Harris launched Ransom Note, a concept label with a cohesive narrative that unfolds with each release.
On the decks, Harris intricately weaves divergent strains into a thick, pumping groove that subtly rises and falls, drawing the crowd ever deeper within his emotion-laden, melodic journey. Circo Loco at DC10, Ibiza, Cielo in NY, The End, Mulletover in London, Weekend in Berlin, Pawn Shop in Miami, Avalon in LA, are just a few of the world’s discenring floors that have been graced by Adultnapper and been left clamoring for more.

-In an effort to abstain from becoming ho-hum,
(writing about every one I've ever played with and every venue I've played in)
I'll keep this bio rather terse. I've been playing music most of my life and for
the last ten years I've focused on the electronic aspect of sound. Occasionally
I've been lucky enough to be asked to perform in front of an audience and share
the music that I like. Hopefully they happen to like the same thing, or at least
keep an open mind about it because I don't play what most people listen to on
FM radio. If I had to categorize, I'd say I play within a range of deep house and
techno, and what I look for in the songs I play is groove translated through good
basslines and rhythm. Also, if you like traveling and music as much as I do,
you'll probably really like www.trek909.com
