Glaswegian street photographer, Dougie Wallace

Opening night party (all welcome)
Thursday 7 July, 8pm - late
Including a brand new audio-visual piece about Colombia Road Flower Market (Flowers East a Fiver), a performance by local poet Gary Fairfull and DJ till late.

Glasgow-born Dougie Wallace is a colourful character on the London photography scene and his images reflect his love of East End life. His street photography captures ironic, oblique moments in contemporary urban settings with a focus on youth culture and nightlife. His open and direct approach sets his work apart: “I mostly shoot with wide-angle and get in close. I’m a participant not a voyeur". Taking part in whatever scene or party he is documenting gives his work an autobiographical dimension and a candour that draws in the viewer.
