Hartera Festival is one of most known Croatian music festivals and home of numerous musical genres – from indie rock to dance and experimental electronic music. It is held in an ex paper factory, one of the biggest in Europe that had successfully existed for over than 150 years and then financially collapsed in the beginning of this century.
Hartera has so far hosted names such as: Roisyn Murphy, Klaxons, Royksopp, Turbonegro, Simian Mobile Disco, Fuck Buttons, Peaches, Boys Noize, Sasha, Digitalism, Moderat, Atari Teenage Riot, Erol Alkan, Laibach, James Zabiela, SebastiAn, Steve Lawler, The Dub Pistols, Sleigh Bells, Garcia plays Kyuss, Nosaj Thing, Zed Bias, Cosmin TRG, Redlight, Adam Freeland, Darren Emerson, Josh Wink, Mr. C etc.
How to get there
City of Rijeka, the host town of the festival, is located in Kvarner bay, an inlet of the Adriatic sea.
It is readily accessible from 4 airports: Rijeka, Pula, Trieste and Zagreb. There is a direct Ryan Air line connecting Rijeka and London, while the other 3 major airports are all within a maximum 2 hr drive of the festival site.
The railway station is connected with direct services to other major cities in Croatia (Zagreb, Osijek), and from there to destinations in Europe. Rijeka is connected by bus with bigger cities in Croatia, Slovenia and elsewhere in Europe.

Beaches
The daily music programme run from 8pm until 6am across 3 stages, giving all night ravers the chance to re-charge their batteries on one of the local beaches and for the more active, there is a chance to visit any number of stunning resorts such as Opatija, Crikvenica and the island of Krk.
