FunkTank is all about quality!

Standing out from a boring Sydney scene hails the sound of true house and tech house in a venue that compliments the vibe and recreates what once was when Sydney was thwart with choice!

The Djs at FunkTank know music and love finding it now matter how impossible it may seem. FunkTank also respect that good djs need time to build sets to create a journey of sounds and experiences that captivates and moves your soul and your feet at the same time.

Friday night inside the the FunkTank with a new beefed up sound system, we have Mike O'Connor, who recently has been setting the benchmark with his rolling bouncy tech house sound. Mike was a resident at many iconic sydney venues until he went searching for the sound that would set him apart. After playing all over Europe from Croatia to London, he developed that sound and has been championing it with infectious results.

We also have special guest Murat Kilic.

Since 2008, Murat Kilic has had a steady schedule of music being released on a variety of labels across the Tech House, Deep House and Techno genres. Starting with a succession of remixes on Tech House imprint BEEF Records in 2008, Murat followed these up with an EP for Oliver Koletzki’s Berlin based Stil Vor Talent which helped establish his reputation as someone to watch. Since then Murat has had a follow up release on Stil Vor Talent and a string of remixes racking up plays and support from the likes of Joris Voorn, Jimpster, Nick Warren, Inland Knights and M.A.N.D.Y. Murat’s productions are well-defined and notable with releases on labels like Stil Vor Talent, BEEF, Stereo Seven, Lost My Dog, Kaato, Subsonic, Long Distance and Tribal Vision. 3 of Murat's recent releases have been in the Top 20 Beatport Deep House charts in 2010/2011.
