Whether you clocked it or not, the blog of Cher launched in early 2011 as a virtual charcuterie bringing only the finest cuts from the deep house and disco musical spectrum.
At the same time, Mr Cher believes that music is made to be listened to loudly and collectively, so with the explicit intention of practising what we preach, we present to you the first in a series of late nights designed precisely for this purpose.
To that end:
We’ve found what is, quite possibly, the most beautiful small venue in London, a unique 1400 square foot converted warehouse apartment space. You can also smoke inside.
We’ve prepared hand-made visuals on four dedicated projectors.
We’ve warmed up the strawberry-scented smoke machine.
We’ve invited Vitalik / Infiné / Fist Or Finger producer-extraordinaire jozif* to bless the decks.
Mr Cher believes in cherry-picking only the finest premium cuts from the overcrowded meatmarket of the house world, and he can think of no finer example than jozif. The East London wideboy producer was quietly working away at his craft for a few years before breaking through with his stupendous Chicago EP in 2010, and has continued to rise up through the ranks in the year since. Recently made a resident DJ at Ibiza’s ‘We Love Space Sundays’, he has an intangibly unique sound in his productions and DJ sets that the have-nots can only aspire to.
We’re looking at one of the finest London parties of the year. More than anything, this should be a fiercely intimate, utterly unmissable evening for our nearest and dearest in thanks for their continued support. Let’s get.
Warmly and sincerely,
Friday 29th July. 11pm.
