Holy pony fantastique! London club soda pop bonanza New Young Pony Club are set to celebrate the birth of their box fresh filly Fantastic Playroom (exclusively through iTunes July 28 then in stores Aug 11) before cantering around the country on a grand national headline tour in September.

After Australian audiences were broken in late last year when they toured as part of the Modular / Ksubi Xmas party, NYPC returned in March for the V Festival, leaving punters with holes in their soles and horses in their hearts, coming away as a festival highlight. Come late August/early September ‘the Club are coming back with the spotlight shone squarely on them and their fantastically swinging debut album.

Fantastic Playroom has been a little over a year in the making, a 10 track ode to dancefloor sophistication and unrefined fun, with all the mambo this 3 girl 2 boy monster can muster. Featuring the now classic Ice Cream, recent single The Bomb, Get Lucky and 7 more sweet surprises, Fantastic Playroom is 2007’s no holds barred house party album starting when the rabbit officially runs on Aug 11.

Off the back of a huge European festival season that’s seen them visit the Wireless Festival, Roskilde, T In The Park, Global Gathering, Pukkelpop and more, the NYPC machine that will hit Australia is set to be pure sex and sonics, fire and frocks.
