First off, massive thanks to everyone who has supported Mongo throughout the Summer. We have had an amazing time so far and hope that you have too! Since moving to the POD complex we’ve had two sell out parties with things culminating back in June when capacity was reached by 9pm. With this in mind, we have decided to things up a notch by taking control of the whole Pod venue this time. We’ll be taking over the Pod, Courtyard, Crawdaddy and Chocolate Bar with one of the biggest local line ups Dublin has seen for a very long time!
It all takes place at the POD Complex on Dublins Harcourt street on Bank Holiday Sunday July 31st.
Once again, we bring together some of Dublins finest resident DJs from all of your favourite clubnights. Our Courtyard is covered to suit whatever the weather throws at us and as per usual there with be cheap drink and a BBQ provided all day. Heres whats in store…
COURTYARD - The Courtyard will be treated to some house music via rising DJ/producer CITIZEN BLACK. He’ll be accompanied by the likes of PODs main man, DAVID DE VALERA, Mongos AARON NOLAN and the ever amazing CORRUGATED TUNNELL for a sunshine live set that is set to take the Courtyards roof off!
CHOCOLATE BAR - We are really excited about our line up in the Chocolate Bar. A Mongo debut for one of Dublins most well known DJs – BILLY SCURRY. He’ll be joined by Nightflights LIL DAVE, LUNAR DISKO DJS and a host of other DJs providing Hip Hop, Soul, Funk & Disco.
THE POD - The POD will open from 10pm and will essentially continue from where the Courtyard has left off. It’ll see a headline set from Mongo resident, AL KEEGAN. Support comes from Allegros NIALL DUNNE, DeepIntoTheBowelsOfHouse main man MAX CONTE + more!
CRAWDADDY – With the addition of Crawdaddy to this months party we’ve decided to bring something new to the table. Techno is the order of the evening with Earwiggle head honcho and all round legend SUNIL SHARPE headlining. Also on the bill is recently signed to Audio Assault records, FRAN HARTNETT. They will be supported Disciplines BRIAN CAIRNS and others. The room will also feature a special “30 tracks in 30 mins Ghetto tech set” from the incredible RICK STRAITNER aka CALVIN JAMES.
Doors open at 3pm with FREE ADMISSION to all arriving before 4.00pm. With ALL DRINKS 3 ONLY EURO until 9PM another great day is pretty much guaranteed to come in well under the usual bank holiday budget!
