Summer Daze is an outdoor gathering that unites San Diego's thriving house music community. This season will feature some of San Diego's talented house djs along with special guests to be announced, each showcasing their own unique styles of house music. Summer Daze is a fully permitted family friendly event which will be held at different scenic waterfront locations in the city of San Diego. Food, beverages, beach chairs, umbrellas, blankets and games are welcome. Our permit allows us to have alcohol but glass bottles or kegs will not be allowed on the premises. Please be respectful to the park and do your part to keep our environment clean. Come bring your positive vibes and groove with us under the sun this summer!

Saturday July 30, 2011, Summer Daze returns with the second installment of the daytime outdoor gathering. Summer Daze is a fully permitted family-friendly event that will be located at Embarcadero Marina Park North right next to Seaport Village at the foot of Kettner Blvd. Visit http://www.portofsandiego.org/embarcadero-marina-park-north.html to find more information and directions to the park. We will start at 11am and go until sunset.


** GET THERE EARLY!!! Please be aware that it will be a busy Saturday since the area is a high traffic tourist spot and parking spaces will be very limited in the Seaport Village area. You are encouraged to carpool or take the San Diego Trolley to the Seaport Village Station. There are also metered parking spaces available a few blocks away from Seaport Village but make sure to feed the meter to avoid getting a ticket. A $15 all day parking lot is also available to you on 1st Ave. and Island. If you choose not to pay the $15 fee, there is a $5 all day parking garage on 6th Ave. and A St. next to Antonio's Mexican Food. You can then take a taxi from the parking garage to Embarcadero Marina Park North. Travel lightly if you decide to take on any of these suggestions.

** We want to keep having these outdoor gatherings for you guys so we want to adhere to the rules stated in our permit. Our permit allows us to have alcohol but please help spread the word on the rules for having alcohol at the park. We are allowed to have beer cans and if anyone plans to have mixed drinks please have them in plastic containers. NO GLASS BOTTLES OR KEGS ARE ALLOWED.

** Keep drug use away from the area since this a family-friendly event, and there will be children present. We want to prevent any issues with law enforcement. If you fail to comply with the rules repeatedly you will be asked to leave the premises.

** Food, beverages, small bbq grills, beach chairs, blankets, small popup canopies, and games are welcome.

** Do your part to keep the park clean at all times. Please bring trash bags and clean up after yourselves. Leave no trace of debris especially cigarette butts from the party.

** We will NOT tolerate immature behavior! Any inappropriate behavior exhibited towards other guests will be grounds for expulsion from our event.

** Bring umbrellas and use plenty of sunscreen. We will be directly under the sun.

** Also note that it will get chilly by sunset, so bring something to say warm in.
