IAN POOLEY (Pooled Music)
One could literally write a book on a bio of Ian Pooley. Hailing from Berlin, Germany, he's on a North American tour for the Summer/Fall of 2011 to help Fred Everything celebrate FIVE YEARS of Lazy Days Recordings.
Ian's work over the years has incorporated elements of pop, disco, soul and even jazz. The critically acclaimed album, Since Then (V2 Records, 2000) turned to samba and bossanova to create a Brazilian saudade-like atmosphere in the dancefloor. Of course, remixes from the likes of Daft Punk (Chord Memory) tells you how far this man's sound reaches.
Currently, Ian continues to produce first class deep house tracks with the likes of Spencer Parker, Vincenzo, and yes....Fred Everything. To say we are excited for this appearance in Toronto is the understatement of 2011.
FRED EVERYTHING (Lazy Days Recordings)
Fred Everything is a veteran in the Canadian Electronic Dance Music scene. Born In Hull and raised in Quebec City, Fred Everything moved to Montreal in 1996. He was then working at Montreal’s institution Inbeat Records and secured himself residencies in the city’s top clubs. He's played Toronto many times over the years at venues that have come and gone, and his sound continues to evolve.
He now resides in San Francisco, where he owns and runs his uber deep house label: Lazy Days Recordings. For the past FIVE years, Fred has forged relationships with world renowned producers such as Atjazz, Lovebirds, Kruse & Nurnberg, JT Donaldson, Crazy P, and of course, none other than IAN POOLEY
This event celebrates the FIVE YEARS of hard work and dedication that Fred puts into his work. It is truly heart-felt, and the result is of course his double mixed CD (which will be available at the event for give-away by the man himself). Welcome back to Toronto Fred!!
