The Warehouse Project 2011 presents Farewell to Store Street NYD at Piccadilly Train Station
burnibuswroteWed, 11 Jan 2012and they rely on the WHP being out of season. Apparently NYE at Kraak was cancelled as not enough interest. real shame as shackleton was on. Manchester needs to shape up to be honest, too much homgenised bud drinking shit and not enough love for great music. Its hard to believe this city was responsible for so much great music and great nights and now if its not WHP or sexy house, it aint on. WheatabixwroteWed, 11 Jan 2012As far as I know (could be wrong) Content was the only house/techno night that ran regularly through Summer. Others had parties every so often. It's a shame really but it just shows how much clubs rely on the student crowd to be busy.
RepeatBeatwroteWed, 11 Jan 2012I agree with Burnibus, The last few times that I have attended the WHP, I was bored. The only think for me was in fact the local talent. By far the best sets I have seen at the WHP are by the 'Modern Love' and 'Zutekh' djs what does that tell you. Be interesting to see what the new plans are.
burnibuswroteMon, 09 Jan 2012really? i mustnt have noticed as have been to some ace nights during the summer in manc. the end of WHP allows the rest of the night clubs a bit of chance to breath and hopefully get some business, although maybe not any more. there are some top ones already lined up for the next few months though
WheatabixwroteMon, 09 Jan 2012Yeah but most other nights close for 'summer' around April & May as well!
burnibuswroteMon, 09 Jan 2012At least we get over half a year of not hearing the WHP mentioned for a while.
