MK (a.k.a. Marc Kinchen) has spent the past few years just, you know, producing international hits for rappers and pop stars and rubbing elbows with the likes of Quincy Jones and Will Smith. But what concerns the ICEE HOT nation the most about the man's illustrious career is his un-freaking-believably good records from the hazy days of the early '90s. Old-school house heads recognize that if a piece of vinyl contains the words "MK dub," you buy it. He turned the "dub mix" into a high art form, and helped define the deep and somewhat-dark New York garage house sound along with contemporaries Masters At Work, Blaze, Todd Terry, and Todd Edwards (more about him later).

Lately, MK has gone back to his house roots, dropping a new single on Omar-S' FXHE label and throwing down tag-team DJ sets with his brother and longtime partner-in-crime, SCOTTIE DEEP (who himself has been crafting tuff house jams since the early 90s) . We are sooooo psyched to be able to witness the brotherly magic that's gonna occur when these OG pimps take to the decks!!!

OH YEAH if that wasn't enough for you we've also got the return of TODD EDWARDS to ICEE HOT!! If you were one of the lucky ones who caught him last year at 222, then you know the dang deal. I think all of our feet ached from dancing and our faces were sore from smiling after Todd's (100% TE tunes) set. It's extremely hard to overestimate the influence of the Jersey boy's signature sound on modern dance music. Recent years have seen a resurgence in demand for his remixes, productions, and DJ sets, and we could not think of a nicer, more deserving dude for it to happen to. So happy to have him back.

As always, your resident DJs Ghosts On Tape (fresh from his acceptance to Red Bull Music Academy 2011!), Shawn Reynaldo, and Rollie Fingers (both fresh from vacations in Spain!) will be there to get the dancefloor loose and lively before the main event.
