Floorplay is back! We hereby invite you to Floorplay Summer Ball part 2. With so many festivals washed out because of the rain, Club NL can always guarantee that you do not need your wellies or a raincoat: Club NL continues to be the place to be in Amsterdam on a Saturday night.

This month the guest DJ accompanying Paul Sparkes on the decks is Groove Collection's Jerry van Schie. Jerry has made a name for himself over the years. Originally from Rotterdam, Jerry has been performing professionally since the 80s, a true member of the Dutch music scene. Jerry is not a hype DJ; he is one of the steady, hard-working guys who has been there, done it, and got the T-shirt to prove it.

Jerry has performed for all the major Dutch organizations for over 20 years including Extrema & Earth, played a plethora of beach parties and festivals, and probably has travelled to the moon and back distance-wise on the Dutch motorways to get to gigs. Sellout performances in Ibiza, Belgium and Asia has seen Jerry take his understated but positive sound on the aeroplanes and out over the waters to performances internationally.

Aside from DJing Jerry runs the The Groove Collection (www.groovecollection.nl). As a record executive, he has also operated records labels such as Groovecollection Records Black, Red and Originals) together with Peter van Hal (Extrema, Deep, Focus) showcasing his excellent taste in dance music again.

Jerry also runs Groovecollection Music Management soon followed, taking other labels on board as well. Now with his own “Groovecollection Records”, “Deep”, “Focus”, Eelke Kleijn’s “Outside The Box Music”, Kosmas Epsilon’s “Epsilon Trax”, Randall Jones’ “Mynt Music” and more to follow like labels from Logiztik Sounds and Sebastian Davidson this management can become one of the main players in the business. And now Jerry has recently started Groovecollection Bookings (www.groovecollectionbookings.com), an international operating bookings agency for dj's/producers.

Join us a week earlier than the usual last Saturday of the month, this month on the third Saturday, 20 August, to welcome a very special set from Jerry van Schie at Floorplay Summer Ball part 2.
