For September's Futura at Chez Jacki we are especially pleased to
welcome Kuba Sojka (Mathematics, Matrix Detroit, Souliner Records). Kuba has just dropped his debut album on Chicago's Mathematics imprint, showing the full bandwidth of his production skills between
jazzy and blunted downbeats and uptempo Detroit string symphonies.
Also we are looking forward to welcome Natalia K & Alex, the people behind Brooklyn's Cortelyou Road Recordings. They began their collaborative journey as the mere flicker of a thought. Their deep mutual love of music and art led them to find others with a similar passion and understanding. This search is what
eventually formed into the label's first release "On The Corner Vol. 1." Featuring the works of Red Rack'em (Smugglers Inn, Bergerac), James Duncan (Le Systeme), Alex Agore (No Matter What); this debut
release was intended to showcase this philosophy of House music from uniquely talented individuals, in it's many undefinable forms from around the globe. Officially released in the Spring of this year, this initial 12" was received warmly by critics and music lovers alike and marks just the beginning of many such projects to follow in the near future and beyond...
Rounding off our night will be Futura's very own Makarov with a set of his trademark
driving Techno Soul style.
