Promoter / Strictly Techno
Strictly Techno is one of the longest running techno concepts in the Netherlands. With an extended list of legendary parties since 1995, they are undoubtedly part of Rotterdam's musical heritage. After the departure from Waterfront two years ago and a brief flirtation with Watt, on Friday September 9 the men of Strictly Techno are back with an old-fashioned evening of techno in the toughest club of Rotterdam: PERRON !
With the opening of Perron, Strictly Techno has again found a stage that supplies the basic requirements for a good and solid techno party: a big load of concrete, a stomping sound-system (Funktion One) and a raw underground atmosphere, which characterized the Strictly Techno nights in the glorious past.
For the first edition, none other than the Berlin resident Tommy Four Seven has been snared. The raw industrial sound of this Englishman fits perfectly into the Strictly Techno tradition. His recent album on Chris Liebing's CLR label was received lyrical and the remixes of men like Robert Hood, Speedy J, Perc and Regis currently rocking dance floors worldwide.
Over the years Audio Assault frontman Bas Mooy has found his own unique dark sound, both on the dance floor and in the studio. With releases on leading labels such as Planet Rhythm, his own imprint Audio Assault and an upcoming release on Luke Slater's Mote Evolver, he has built a huge fan base at home and abroad.
Strictly Techno founder Perry aka Flink can be called a veteran of the Dutch techno scene, with memorable gigs such as Lowlands and Awakenings, a CV with a wagon load of clubs, festivals and artists with whom he has been performing, there is no doubt that this man knows how to rock a floor.
The warm up of the evening is owned by Drijfhout, one of the founders and residents of Rotterdam Ondergronds Talent (R.O.T.), who build up a large crowd of followers in a short time. Expect a subtle opening of an already legendary night!
Note that on Friday November 4th Strictly Techno's second edition will feature Perc (Perc Trax / UK)!
