An exciting night of innovative music, where tradition meets technology, to create an original experience of classical performance and contemporary electronica.

Critically acclaimed experimental music programme Faster Than Sound (a collaboration between Lumin and Aldeburgh Music) presents the London premier of Rhythm of Strings with Seb Rochford, Leafcutter John, Leo Abrahams, Oliver Coates & Max Baillie at Village Underground on the 11/09/11 at 8pm.

Taking place on 11th September at Village Underground in East London, the musicians created Rhythm of Strings during an intensive five-day residency at Aldeburgh Music’s new workspace facility space, The Hoffman Building. The performance is a conceptual exploration of the ‘Rhythm of Strings’ and blurs the boundaries between jazz and improvisation, classical and electronic music. This will be the London debut of the project that occurred earlier in March this year at Snape Maltings, home to Aldeburgh Music, where the event won over critics and audiences alike, with its thought provoking and innovative approach to exploring composition through performance and dialogue.
