S O U N D | Terminal 1 & 4

Sound residents Derizen and Biba Night will be providing the tunes in Terminals 1 & 4 respectively.

Derizen is all about the party but won't be compromising on the the tunes. Expect UK Funky, Bass and house, rather than the usual pish that passes for a "party" on Sauchiehall St.

Biba Nights are our new residents for Terminal 4. The first place you walk into the club and the last place before the bouncers ask you to leave, they'll be building an atmosphere in here with their sexy house sounds.

S U B F R I C T I O N | Terminal 2

This month Subfriction would like to show all those that are new to Glasgow as well as all of our regulars what we are all about! We have two excellent guests lined up for Freshers Week! Keep an eye out on Campus for lots of special freshers week passes!

DJ HEX

You might have heard of this guy, maybe you haven't, but either way, you'll definitely not forget him after this months Subfriction. You may recognise his name from nights like Symbiosis, or more recently, tearing up the headline slot for Electrikal at Kelburn Castle's Brazilian Carnival. However, if you have no idea who he is, rest assured, he'll be keeping you on your toes with plenty of DnB, Breakcore & Dubstep to the wheels of steel.

INDRA

For our freshers week shenanigans, we're bringing back one of our favourite guests, the titan known as Indra. Since last playing with us at the second Subfriction this year, he's continued to make his mark across the UK, with residencies Glasgow, Edinburgh & Manchester, supporting the scenes biggest names, so it's no surprise that we are honoured to have him finish off the night (and probably the soundsystem too.)

S E C R E T . W A R S | Terminal 3

Quarter Finals (Stage 3) :: Smug vs. Vues :: w/ Bunty Beats

Welcome to the Secret Wars Glasgow Tournament of 2011, the original black and white art battle since 2005. 16 Scottish representing artists from all over with different backgrounds including street art, graffiti, illustration, tattooing, all competing head to head to become Glasgow Secret Wars Champion of 2011.

This is the 11th round of this years tournament which started in April, which means we only have 3 more to go until the Grand Final! Welcome to the Quarter Finals! There were 16 artists...now only 6 are left standing (well doodling) the best of the best go head to head.... it gets personal from here onwards!

We have two of the most known Graffiti Artists in Scotland going head to head. Both artists are known for their technical and attention to detail work, which ranges from photorealism to intense detailed illustrations. This is a battle not to miss, both Smug and Vues are experienced in Secret Wars battles after touring around Europe taking on other cities in last years Secret Wars Euro -league, so the disses and humor will be of a high entertaining level.

- Live art battle
- 90 minutes on the clock
- Black paint only (on white walls)
- No sketches / No pencils
- One artist to each side of the drawing board

Judged using a three-point system: 2 guest judges and a crowd vote (using a decibel reader).

The Mixkings are a group of DJs who mix, blend, scratch, juggle & produce music from various genres, The Mixkings Hip Hop DJs Bunty Beats & Mr Matic will be rockin' classic hip hop and boom bap rap at Secret Wars.
