Time flies when you’re having fun! It’s been a year since Cubism Records took up residency in the label’s home town of Maidstone at The Source and what a year it’s been! The label itself has also been flying all year with releases being supported consistently by the world’s biggest DJs with everyone from Richie Hawtin, Danny Tenaglia, Nic Fanciulli and Dubfire to Terry Francis, DJ Sneak, Steve Lawler and Slam dropping tracks from the label and too many others to mention in between! Pretty much all of these tracks hit the dance floors of The Source for their first plays anywhere, tested on one of the best crowds in the UK, many have gone on to rock clubs all over The World.

Each and every party at Source has been off the hook and we have had the pleasure of welcoming a selection of some of the very best DJ/Producers to rock both the courtyard and main room joining residents Mark Gwinnett, Paul Johnson, Mike Healey and Deanoloco. Guests this year have included Yousef, Terry Francis, Nathan Coles, Harvey McKay, Deepgroove, Reset Robot, Raymundo Rodriguez, Alex Tepper, Saytek, Teva, Mouj, Jordan Peak, Jesus Pablo, Freaky Disco and Rob Pearson. It is with great pleasure that to celebrate a year of Cubism vibes at Source we welcome two more of dance music’s finest underground producers.

Firstly we welcome German producer Christian Burkhardt headlining the main room with a very special live set. One of the very few amazing talents yet to visit The Source, Christian is world re-knowned for his complex rhythms. A groove obsessed sound pioneer. His live sets comprise of his own music tweaked, layered and twisted differently and in a unique way whenever he plays. He has a long list of remixes for labels such as Tsuba Records, Mobilee and Deep Vibes and his wicked list of original material features on massive labels including Oslo, Raum and Cocoon. This will be special!

Headlining the courtyard is one of the true UK tech house pioneers of our time. It has been an extremely long time coming but it is with great pleasure that we welcome Tony Thomas to headline the courtyard. Tony Thomas is a name that goes way back in dance music. He has performed and DJ’d in over 40 countries with most of the best DJs around including Carl Cox and Danny Tenaglia. He has produced countless releases and remixes on over 100 labels worldwide under at least 40 different aliases over a 20 year period, as well as working on many collaborations, including The Producers with Alan Barratt, Red Moon with DJ Hal and The Sultans of Sick with Mark Gwinnett and Alan Barratt.

Tony is also co-founder of the CUBISM label with Mark Gwinnett (aka Lunacy Sound Division) and owner of several labels, including Moxi Records, Ambiosphere Recordings, New Era Recordings, Cubic Records, Progress Recordings, Shiva Records and Telepathy. It is with great pleasure on Cubism’s First Birthday at The Source that Tony joins us providing tech house beats both in the courtyard and main room. This also will be special!!
