London welcomes back the beloved Waverley after the sell out show last year with Greg Wilson, Low Life and Optimo. This year welcomes Francois Kevorkian, Horse Meat Disco, Bill Brewsters (Low Life/DJ History) and Domenic Cappello (Sub Club) making this possibly the strongest boat party line up anywhere in 2012.

Headlining the event will be Wave Music label owner and Deep Space NYC resident Francois K, a position that he has held weekly on a Monday since 2003. The night focuses on dub in all of its forms, where the format is extremely eclectic, ranging from spaced-out techno to the deepest reggae, dubstep, hip-hop as well as drum & bass, house music and disco. His noughties musical output has included Deep Space NYC Vol. 1, a compilation featuring several of his own original productions (along with Jamaican dub legends Mutabaruka and U-Roy); along with notable remixes for Moloko, Yoko Ono, Cesária Évora, Nina Simone, as well as much for his own label.

Inspired by the halcyon days of New York nightlife including Mancuso’s Loft, Nicky Siano’s Gallery and late lamented DJ Adam Goldstone, Horse Meat Disco was started in 2003 by DJs James Hillard (ex-Nuphonic) and Jim Stanton, long-time lynchpin of Jockey Slut magazine. From early parties in London’s Chinatown, Horse Meat took up their famed weekly residency in Eagle London in Vauxhall and, joined by DJs Filthy Luka (Luke Howard, ex- Queer Nation) and Severino (CODEX), quickly built a reputation for fantastic parties and high quality disco sets.

They will be joined by Last Night A DJ Saved My Life author and DJ Bill Brewster. Known for his appearances at Fabric with his tough and funky big-room underground house; the nex moment he’s coaxing a more intimate crowd with everything from dubby disco, funk and hip-hop to trip hop and Latin batucadas. Armed with a sensitivity and sense of occasion that few DJs possess Bill Brewster knows how to work a crowd in the best possible sense.

Finally, they will all be joined by Subculture resident Domenic Cappello, back in London after recent appearences at BeCool during Off Sonar, Stop Making Sense Festival in Croatia and Le Batofar in Paris.

Mon, 03 Oct 2011well good luck with it amigo, i think its a terrible deal, but as you say.. a one off and ppl love it. I generally go out every week chasing around at various venues and thats ok for me, some people like to pay alot of money for certain things and i guess this is why DJ's began extorting huge amounts of cash from the average earner until they could take it no more and clubs began to close. The scene certainly reflects that now with so many good deals around and i find it hard to swallow that... More
