Pin-up, a unique 1950's-themed pop-up venue featuring four full-size ten pin bowling lanes, an American diner, a cocktail bar and a dancefloor with an eclectic genre-smashing music policy, at Manchester's vibrant Spinningfields district.
Evolving from a cult London night and emerging as the world's first fully pop-up boutique bowling alley, Pin-up's eight-week debut promises a whole host of exciting entertainment, from bowling, music, mouth watering food and irresistible cocktails, to magicians, dancers, themed nights, and regular collaborations with local promoters. Some of the UK's most inspiring DJ's will also be dropping in to play the 400 capacity temporary space, and original Pin-up residents will be on hand throughout to ensure the music flows as easily as the cocktails and strikes.
Pin-up is open from Lunch till late, 7 days a week from 15 September till 6 November 2011.
Smugglersrun has been the pioneer boat party/event for Manchester's hedonists, misfits, shmoosers, boozers, shakers, wannabes & has-bins for the best part of 8 fantastic years. Described by DJ Mag as a "Crotchless balls to the wall expedition in next level wrongness".
The Smugglersrun gang was decided eight years ago that land-locked clubs were staler than a Pirates privates, and there was only so much that could be done with two decks and a dance floor, unless they added the deck of a ship! (Bohemia)
A new breed of deviants began to wash their hair in the Manchester ship canal rather than the mainstream.
Nik Feral will be playing a 4hr set (Smugglersrun, 1605 Music Therapy, Dojo Music,Globox)
