Guerilla Speakerz, the captains of the Boycott ship, began with Boycott to represent a particular breed of club music that wasn’t getting the shine or recognition it deserved. Influenced by everything from grime and house to hip hop and garage they invited upcoming producers from the UK, France and Australia that would represent the Boycott sound. Expect a full range of electronic dubby rhythmic tunes trampling your ears and force your hands to fist pump yourself through the night.
For this anniversary edition the @guerillaz invited upcoming talent WOZ from the UK, Steve Boomselector: UK garage veteran and one of the guys behind the legendary SPLENDID parties, the multi talented team behind 50hurtz: the Bobby6Killers will annihilate the remaining crackles and the night will be opened by the Architecs. What a night to (never) forget!
Homework, haunted by insomnia because of their intense touring schedule and non-stop studio time, have decided to put more focus on Dutch talent for this edition of BOYCOTT. In the Homework hosted Kring room the duo invite two fresh and internationally revered artists of Dutch descent, who both share Homework's philosophy and believe in deep yet groovy house music.
Bas Amro was just 16 years of age when he started releasing his recognizable sounds, but it seems it has taken a while before Holland pricked up its ears to his music. Outside of our country his music has been gaining steadily support from major players like Deetron, Milton Jackson and Osunlade. Freerange's head honcho Jimpster gave Amro the opportunity to release on his label. The result was the amazing Ten EP. Undoubtedly a bright future lies ahead for this young man from Utrecht.
ONNO's groovy tech house has pushed the man into Berlin's Panoramabar twice (!). A feat not all dj's can add to their resume. But with catchy releases on Souvenir and Upon You, it's not a booking lacking logic. ONNO is on top of his game. Not solely because of his music, but also because of his popular Studio 80 club night Babylon.
