Twisted Society presents Digitaline - live, Damian Schwartz, Alexis Raphael , Dan Farserelli, Jack Demeester, Joseph Onik photo gallery
Shoreditch’s Village Underground was unrecognisable as Twisted Society invaded for another unbeatable Saturday night event. A new DJ stage was erected, a crystal clear sound system put in place and lighting screens behind the DJ booth that wouldn’t look out of place at a festival. Twisted Society’s attention to detail is what makes our events stand out and we will be delivering more of the same on Saturday 12 November when we bring our original twist to London club land once again.
Continuing with our desire to put on a show, Twisted Society has booked, not just DJs, but live musicians. Cadenza’s secret weapon, Digitaline will be showcasing their live set just a week before playing at Berlin’s techno Mecca, Panorama Bar, for a Cadenza Records party. A partnership between musicians, Digitaline consists of Swiss producers, Laurent Bovey and Gregory Poncet, who met at various parties and started jamming together. As they layer sounds, loop, and challenge each other, some truly magical music is made, which is why they were swiftly signed by Cadenza and Cityfox. Label mate Lee Jones has previously singled out Digitaline as “amazing†and “truly unique†so it’s fitting that we booked them for a truly unique event like Twisted Society.
Also joining our Twisted Society for the night is Damian Schwartz, a DJ and prolific producer who has been hooked on electronic music since the age of 15. Careful not to pigeon hole his musical style, the only thing that matters to Damian Schwartz is that the music he’s playing is touching the people on the dance floor. Bursting with creativity, Damian has released on the likes of Bass Culture Recordings and Oslo Records, in addition to heading up his own labels, Mupa and NET28. With musical influences stretching far and wide, a set from Damian is bound to amaze and astound.
Alexis Raphael is the final guest DJ of the night and - if you live in London - a DJ that will be familiar to many. The mastermind behind the Crèche parties, Alexis’ most recent event saw Kerri Chandler and Jamie Jones headline. Dedicated to the underground scene in London, Alexis has been putting on parties, DJing and producing for years, but it was, Spaceship, his debut release on Jones’ and Lee Foss’ Hot Waves imprint this year, that brought him to the attention of the masses. With a forthcoming remix of a track on the Visionquest fabric album, an EP for Hot Creations in the works, and support from the hottest names in the industry, the future’s bright for Alexis Raphael.
As always, a Twisted Society event wouldn’t be right without the super support from our resident spinners. It’s these guys that set the musical tone for the night, and with their collective experience as DJs, they work together to build the energy from the minute the doors open.
Twisted Society has done it again with their cutting-edge line-up and attention to detail. Our events are an experience where everything combines to create an unforgettable evening and Saturday 12 November will be no different. Get ready to join our Twisted Society.
