Talking At Me continues to bring you an eclectic mix of new electronic music every month with Rita Maia, Coby 1 and guests.
This month we're super excited to announce the return of Phil Asher as we welcome him back to the arts club ones and twos - its going to be a very special night indeed! Regulars will have fond memories of his residency at Inspiration Information alongside Patrick Forge. It was one of the longest running nights at the club and one of the most loved and respected nights in London. A real gent, a house music legend, a pioneer of broken beat and founding member of Restless Soul and the influential Co-Op club night - Phil is a true connoisseur of quality underground club music and when he plays he'll take you on a mind-blowing, body moving journey through boogie and disco treasures, house classics, cutting edge beats and deep tech grooves. You do not want to miss this!
My Panda Shall Fly will also be joining us to present his new live show. The impressively hirsute Suren Seneviratne is a Sri-Lankan born visual artist and producer who has been making quite a name for himself of late. The blogosphere has been singing his praises after a string of incredible remixes for the likes of Pirate Sound System ("Dub N U") and Hyperdub's Terror Danjah and dj spots on Rinse FM and across the UK and Europe, including the Outlook Festival in Croatia. His expansive sound takes in dubby basslines, warm pads and complex electronica tied together by garage and dubstep influenced beats. His debut EP "Sorry I Took So Long" is out now on Dam Mantle's Growing Records.
MPSF will be presenting a live showcase of his forthcoming material, a collaboration EP, out in a couple of months' time.
Rita Maia and Coby 1 of Arts club previous nights Ovni Sessions and YOYO respectively have joined forces with Notting Hill Arts Club program manager Dom Prosser to create Talking At Me, showcasing new electronic music acts from across the UK and around the world.
You can listen to Rita Maia's saturday night electronic music live radio show on Resonance FM, London 104.4 FM or here:
