The Summer has almost withered away for another year and although it was short lived there's no reason to stop the party.
This Oct 22nd the Unwanted party crew once again take the helm at the legendary Horse and Groom to provide you with a night of hi-jinx, tomfoolery and music finery. Previous parties have seen the roof go off when the Unwanted residents do what they do best with their party props, fine decor and sublime music selection. You can always expect a packed dancefloor packed full of smiles at any Unwanted do.
Sat Oct 22nd see's the Residents order mixed up to keep that Unwanted sound fresh. As ever Unwanted DJs will be spinning a veritable mix of sounds ranging from funk, soul, and disco through to house and tech offering you a genre defying party that is seldom seen in the raving world.
After the blowout success of the introduction of the Unwanted second room at their last party the Unwanted fam will be re-introducing the 'Secret Selectors Saloon'. A warm and cozy room with a strict vinyl only policy. Unwanted family and friends will be spinning circa 1990 hip hop, disco, boogie, funk, soul and reggae. Not to be missed, a perfect opportunity to witness what the Unwanted party crew do best.
Djs spinning on the night include:
Rocksteady Freddie; Top class Unwanted resident who plays a slick mix of funk, soul, nu disco and boogie. A real music lover who if truth be told knows more about whats going on on the punter side of the decks than his own, it's this knowledge that rocks the party When RF is at the helm.
Franklin; Franklin lives and breathes electronic music, brought up around soul and motown you can expect to hear some soulful selections and some deeeeeeep grooves.
Chris Gee; Chris digs deeper than any other DJ on the planet and his exciting DJ sets take you from rare 70s funk and rare groove to the deepest dub and back again stopping by warm house selections and big bass on the way. The Unwanted front man, Chris can be seen around the decks all night long.
Mr Venom; One of the originators of the Unwanted party ethos Mr Venom holds down the funky side of proceedings. Usually siding with any sound as long as it's FAT you can expect funky breaks, garage, electro and the odd raw hip hop sound during his explosive sets.
Thomas James; If house was a religion Thomas James would be a priest of the highest order. A real Jekyll and Hyde behind the decks he can either be solid in his own groove or a crazed headphone waving anarchist. Only playing the freshest in house and tech grooves let Thomas James suck you in to the party mood.
+ A secret selection of likeminded friends in the Secret Selectors Saloon.
Doors are FREE B4 10pm, £3 after 11, £4 after 12.
