London's forward thinking ISM Records brings you 'Futurism' a new monthly residency in the heart of Old Street.
For the past 3 years this independent label has forged a fierce reputation for releasing cutting edge music from artists including Odyssey, Yam Who?, Ron Basejam, The Revengeâ€™Ashley Beedle, Danielle Baldelli, Natasha Watts, Leo Zero, Chaz Jankel PBR Streetgang, Disco Dirtbox, Red Rackâ€™em, Toby Tobias and Ray Mang.
The Ism soundscape fuses a contemporary mix of genres, future past and present, capturing the energy of live performance with the high end production of modern music.
The last few years has seen Ism records steadily grow with its artists Odyssey, Yam Who? and vocal diva Natasha Watts performing worldwide and regularly releasing on the Ism label, in conjunction to this they have forthcoming releases from musician extraordinaire Hamish Balfour and the critically acclaimed Finn Peterâ€™s. With this in mind expect to see some extraordinary guests appearing at forthcoming â€˜Futurismâ€™ parties.
On the 22nd of October Ism Records will be transforming Roadtrip bringing you the finest DJ's across 2 floors spinning a party feel in main bar with upfront Balearic, Boogie & Disco classics, Electro Funk, 80's & Electronica, complemented with a more Techno edged underground House sound in the basement club, The Workshop.
Every month guest DJ's will join the Ismâ€™s residents. Firstly Yam Who?, the duo known for their mighty production skills having remixed for Grace Jones, Zero 7, John Legend, Joss Stone & DFA to name just a few. They have forged a unique musical style where acoustic grooves are combined with futuristic electronic wizardry, and can often be found rocking it up at the summer festivals as well as touring around the globe on many occasions. For the first late night get down they will be joined by the fabulous Electric Boogie & The Wook infamous for their marathon DJ sets, who never fail to get the ladies screaming for more.
As for the special guests we bring you London's freshest crews, The Boogie Cartel. With a host of sell out parties across town this year, this 4 man strong collective are passionate disco crate diggers have been giving the old school a run for their money providing the dance floor with killer tracks old and new.
