Promoter / Samone Roberts, Off the Deep End, AUTOBRENNT
On October 14th Off The Deep End Chicago presents a night sponsored by Autobrennt for the launch of a new monthly at the beautiful Crimson Lounge in the Sax Hotel. Off The Deep End is about the deeper side of things: the obscure, the meaningful, and the slightly obscene. Exploring these elements of house, techno, disco, and dance will absolutely bring you close to the edge.
Friday October 14th will feature Shred One. Sheila Hernando (Shred One) came to Chicago by way of LA. She is a cultivator of deep boogie with a collection of dance tunes deeper than my own. She is a skilled DJ possessing finesse at the decks who also creates her very own "Shredits".
MORE INFO IN THE BIO:
Born and raised in Los Angeles, Sheila Red aka Shred One was constantly surrounded and heavily influenced by music at a very young age as she tagged along with her vinyl collecting brothers and cousins. She moved to Brooklyn, NY in '98 where she began collecting her own records and fell in love with the art of deejaying, as well as learning the music industry game working at Rawkus Records and Blacksmith Management. She began spinning out when she moved back to Los Angeles in 2004 and rocked parties like the infamous Root Down, Soul Sessions, and Funkmosphere. She has also toured with a unique 3x4 set across the west coast w/ her crew RRS FEED (www.therrsfeedsound.com). Now residing in Chicago, she has since played alongside cutting edge artists such as Daz-i-Kue, Dam Funk, 45 King, DJ Jazzy Jeff & more. Shred’s disco edits and mixes are a testament to great and relevant music.
Samone will be warming up the night with some select deep tunes.
