For our next instalment we welcome our first female guest to the Sound Control basement – DINKY alongside Leftroom Records boss MATT TOLFREY and future house talent MIDLAND.

****DINKY (Panorama Bar / Cocoon / Visionquest)****

Alejandra Iglesias A.K.A Dinky was born and raised in Santiago, Chile and discovered electronic music through Ricardo Villalobos back in the early 90's. Inspired by generations of house music, she has developed a sound made up of rhythmic techno and rolling basslines that jack, twist and turn in all the right places, keeping her crowd firmly locked to the dance floor. Today she’s a resident at Berlin’s Panorama Bar and plays regularly at the likes of DC10, Fabric & Cocoon, whilst releasing bombs on labels such as Cocoon, Ostgut Ton, Wagon Repair and most recently the “Time to Loose It EP” on Visionquest.

****MATT TOLFREY (Leftroom / Get Physical / Culprit)****

Matt Tolfrey has been insistently pulling and pushing at the boundaries of house music in the UK for the past 10 years. From his first residency at the legendary Bomb in Nottingham, he has gone on to rock the likes of Panorama Bar (Berlin), D Edge (Sao Paolo), Rex (Paris), Warehouse 702 (Tokyo) and the Culprit rooftop parties in L.A to name a few. Not only a DJ but a tastemaker and label boss for his family of imprints - Leftroom, Leftroom Ltd and Foot and Mouth, Matt has honed his own musical tastes and unique style of solid house music alongside his studio partner Inxec, to create a UK sound that is taking over electronic music.

****MIDLAND (Aus / Phonica)****

After his debut collaboration with Ramadanman on Will Saul’s Aus imprint and his own ‘Play the game’ on Phonica both dropped, Midland has exploded onto the electronic music scene. He followed up in 2011 with some seriously strong releases, notably ‘Through Motion’ and his remix of Mano Le Tough’s ‘Baby Lets Love’ which have redesigned the format of the future sound of house. His deeper, atmospheric sounds are the perfect way to kick this party off, which we feel is without doubt our most musically diverse yet..
