teleostwroteThu, 15 Dec 2011'stiflingly functional tech house' sounds like quite a good description of the part of tama's set that i heard - loopy, repetitive, hard tracks without much flair. it's likely she got more exciting later on but by that time i'd decided i'd prefer to listen to repetitive music on a soundsystem that's worth listening to (i.e. room 1).
kimajywroteThu, 15 Dec 2011One of the things which makes the core Ostgut crew stand out is their ability to play great sets for hours on end, to create structured journeys alone or B2B and to keep crowds engaged and entertained throughout whatever point in the set they arrive at. Berghain/Pano demands it and very long sets are the norm. Sounds as if not everyone is quite as successful with those sorts of challenges, though [a:rpia:r] undeniably have some great moments.
emmgeewroteWed, 14 Dec 2011Room 3 was incredible from the very start to the very end. Didn't spend too long in Room 1 myself, but what I heard didn't really capture me. I guess if I'd have been in Room 1 for the long-haul then what I heard might have been a small piece in a bigger overall picture, but the hour or so that I did spend in there felt like stiflingly functional tech-house, which isn't what I expect from those guys at all.
tommiandersonwroteTue, 13 Dec 2011One of the better nights, but did get boring in parts... still was a good night and good to have so many people out
