Well as the festive period is here we have much more than a stocking filler line up for you all! This month we’re bringing you a line up to remember, a triple header of rising talent from across the globe. First up we have one of Germany’s hottest stars of the year; Basti Doering aka Lovebirds. Alongside Lovebirds we have Coat of Arms. The duo consisting of Eats Everything & Chris James are two of the fastest rising talents in the U.K at the moment & not to forget bringing KRL along for the ride to headline room 2 which will be hosted by a long awaited return to the cognosco team!

LOVEBIRDS

Lovebirds is the solo project of Hamburg resident Sebastian ‘Basti’ Doering. Following 3 excellent singles on the much-respected Winding Road Records label, Lovebirds has become a big player on the underground scene. Labels such as Freerange and Buzzin Fly are often hot on his heels, eager to sign his tracks, with top-flight DJ’s such as Prins Thomas, Ashley Beedle and Jimpster all regularly supporting his unique sound.

The Lovebirds sound is like a blast from the past, with house steroids packing serious production muscle. Listening to Lovebirds is like taking trip back to the 70s and 80s - but riding in a gleaming futuristic spaceship.

His productions over the last couple of year have been up there with the finest, but it’s this year he has really stepped into the light, working with some of the finest acts around. Whether it be on John Digweed’s Infamous Bedrock Label, Working Alongide Kink for the consistent Liebe Detail label. Recently it has been his work with Stee Downes to create what has to be the anthem of the summer ‘Want you in my Soul’ that has shot Lovebirds into the stratosphere of stardom. Basti has had an incredible 2011 and what better way to end it than a visit to Leeds to show you exactly what all the hype is about.

COAT OF ARMS

Next Up we have Coat Of Arms which is a musical duo comprising of Birmingham / Bristol steel & brawn. Eats Everything & Chris the duo have a mutual love of big bass, melodic chords and slick beats which created a soundclash with more fight than the Battle Of Hastings! Weaving their varying styles together has seen their sound unique sound take them into unknown realms of possibility. If you were one of the 4000 people who downloaded the nest podcast earlier on this year, you'll know exactly how hot they are.

The guys have recently joined up with Futureboogie, one of the hottest labels around at the moment, in our eyes. The support for these guys has come from every angle with plays on Radio 1 from Pete Tong, Jaymo & Andy George to big ups and features inside UK Magazines. "Is This Something" the boys debut record was put at position number 3 in Mixmag's Top 10. Get Physical's Heidi has bigged the lads up in her DJ Mag Column For September. Jamie Jones has featured "Is This Something" in his Live Essential Mix from Ibiza On Radio 1 this summer aswell as his debut Fabric CD Mix. Its easy to see why these guys are starting to become hot property, and we’re excited to offer up another Leeds debut for this supremely talented duo.

KRL

KRL has been releasing his sample filled take on house music on British label Wolf Music since early 2009. Influenced by music from Detroit to Berlin, preceded with a decade of playing hiphop, he brings a fresh sound to the british music scene. With a rapidly growing discography under his belt, his most recent releases "Chase", a monster remix of J Phlip's "Fever" (on Catz n Dogz' Petts Recordings label) have been getting wide support from the leading figures in the scene. KRL has a full EP of new material released early December on his resident label Wolf Music and we can't wait to get him into room 2 alongside Marsden & Dan Hare.
