Ron Morelli (L.I.E.S.)
Meridian 7 (Lori Napoleon)
"MUTUAL DRΞAMING, When Two or More People Share the Same Dream"
Following in the funked footsteps of Paris Is Burning, Soul Train & Detroit's New Dance Show, 'New Dance City' is a conceptual all night dance party at 285 Kent warehouse, decked out with a catwalk area for whoever wants to get down. As a special collab, actual public access show producers E.S.P. TV will film sections of the audience, apply analog video effects & project the live feed. The video will later air on Manhattan public access & online... As always the space will be filled with dreamy lights, projections & lasers.
The performances and DJ sets are from some of my favorite underground heavyweights of Chicago House, Detroit Electro & Brooklyn. The music is freaky, dark & techno tinged body music.

∴∴ Come dance dance dance & dream!! ∴∴
Visionary turntablist, producer, and owner of Nation records from Chicago. Known for his psychedelic 'Jakbeat' mixing style, Traxx blends eclectic & insane selections that defy genre distinctions. One can expect avant garde & dancey sounds ranging from old school house & detroit techno, proto-industrial, minimal synth and many surprises.
New solo project of Alex from the mysterious (and often masked) Detroit electro group, Ultradyne, which has been making relentless, raw, deep aquatic electro on analog gear since 1993. In Ultradyne, he has put out many quality releases over the years on Warp Records, Pi Gao Movement & others, including a great collaboration with Redshift, and as Vidrio he has one great release so far. Super excited about this one.
"Kicking around in the dirt of the underground for some time, Ron Morelli runs the L.I.E.S. record label out of Brooklyn, and over the past year has released some of the more interesting records coming out of the city by artists like Steve Moore, Terekke, Legowelt, and Steve Summers to name a few. He's produced original tracks under the L.I.E.S. moniker as well as with Jason Letkiewicz as Two Dogs in a House. When not running his label, Morelli can be found filing records and making bad jokes at the legendary A-1 Record shop, or playing the occasional crappy dj gig on some broke-ass sound system for little money."

Freaky sleazy house performer Jason Letkiewicz in his main guise. Steve is jacking, raw, acid-tinged body music played live on analog synthesizers & drum machines.. watch out for those flanged vocals. The prolific producer has more than 10 releases on labels such as Clone, L.I.E.S., Future Times & Nation, and is also in projects Innergaze, Malvoeaux, Rhythm Based Lovers, Two Dogs in A House (with Ron Morelli), and more.
New alias of Lori Napoleon (previously SubK). One of my favorite DJs ever with serious mixing skills, and an avid follower of analog-heavy machine music including electro, acid, techno & italo. She's flown to Holland to DJ Cybernetic Broadcasting System parties with I-F & co. She's also featured in upcoming documentary 'I Dream of Wires,'' showcasing her handmade modular synth & sequencer that she built into a telephone switchboard.
E.S.P. TV is a public access TV show produced by Louis V E.S.P. gallery (Scott Kiernan and Ethan Miller), which goes live on Manhattan Neighborhood Network once a month. Its episodes are taped "in front of a live studio audience" with live green-screening and analog video manipulation. VHS cameras, Videonics video mixers, live feedback.. its a gorgeous update on an 80s inspired Nam Jun Paik esque aesthetic.
